OK its been a long while since I logged in, kind of got away from the community a bit but have decided to give it another go as DA is such a great resource. I am going to cut down on my watch list though ... one reason i stopped coming by was I was inundated with photos from all the groups I had joined. I think I will switch most of these groups to watching journals and cntests only and focus on watching individuals. That said i have plenty of new photos to upload as I just finished some time off that let me play with my camera a bit :) Time to get my next lens though and see what I see with it, only question is which one? Took some very nice photos yesterday, continued my quest to get better with the manual settings of my camera ... and think I have succeeded! Obviously always some room for improvement but it is coming to me easier and easier. Still looking for an umbrella for a contest entry though, everyone cross their fingers for me - hopefully i see one soon! Today looks bright and lovely out and I will try my hardest to get some self portraits done with my remote and gorilla pod :) Hopefully those go well! then later tonight its off to see Pirates ... I'll be watching for costume ideas!

Learning how to be stealthy with my remote is going to be tougher than i thought. Infrared (grr) needs line of sight, which means it will be in every picture ... (grr) That said I can get better at hiding the remote and some of my shots were pretty stealth .. If I hadn't known the remote was there it would be harder t
